Kyushu Plain

About this site

Kyushu, plainly. From someone who grew up in Fukuoka.

Updated 2 September 2026

Who writes it

I grew up in Fukuoka and still go back regularly. I studied for four years in Kyoto and now live and work in Tokyo. I read the Japanese operator sites directly — the subway timetable PDFs, the airport's access pages, the taxi fare tables — rather than relying on other travel sites in English.

How the numbers are checked

Every time, fare and rule on this site comes from the operator, the airport, or the relevant government body, and each article lists its sources and the date they were checked.

Where a number cannot be confirmed from a source we can cite, it is left out and the article says so. Fukuoka's subway publishes its fare table as an image, for example, so you will not find a station-to-station fare here yet.

Operators change things. If something here is out of date, it is out of date — check before you travel.

What this site does not do

It does not book anything for you, and it does not reproduce maps, photographs or logos belonging to anyone else. Diagrams are drawn here.

How it is funded

Some articles link to booking sites. Where a link earns a commission, it is marked, and it costs you nothing extra. Articles are not written because a commission exists — several have no links at all.

AI disclosure

Drafting and research assistance for this site is done with AI tools. The facts are verified against primary sources by a person, and the lived detail — what actually happens at the ticket gate, which taxi you can and cannot flag down — is written from experience, not generated.
